I accidentally wrote Thursday on this piece. I got confused because we were leaving town for the weekend and my summer brain was convinced it was Thursday. You can't tell in the picture but the dark rectangle on the left side of the block is part of a piece I left out in the rain that was on plywood and peeled apart. I glued it right to this block and it was the exact size. I like that the black screws on the back look like eyes and the knot looks like a mouth.
