Chief Curator Brooks Museum of Art

video

When Windy and I first moved to Memphis I worked as a janitor at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. My bosses Johnny and Thomas were really cool and let me hang an exhibit of my own work up in the employee break room. Everyone who used that break room really liked the idea so when I started grad school at the University of Memphis and began to meet other artist I kept curating shows for the employee break room even though I didn't work there anymore. This exhibit is of my friend Virginia Overton's sculpture. She had a show in a slightly better known venue this past summer that you can see some images of if you click this link. www.sculpture-center.org/exhibitionsExhibition.htm?id=11908
